ABOUT
Why MedEngly exists
MedEngly is built by a UK based IMG doctor, working in the NHS, who came through the international medical graduate pathway himself: the exams, the registration paperwork, and the English test standing between a qualified clinician and the job they already know how to do.
Preparing for OET while working clinical shifts has a specific shape. The two subtests that decide most results, Writing and Speaking, are also the two you cannot mark yourself. The existing answer is human correction: days of waiting for each letter, at a price that punishes exactly the practice volume you need. Most candidates simply practise less than they should, then find out on results day.
MedEngly replaces that wait with instant, criterion by criterion AI marking, wrapped in one question the whole product exists to answer: are you on track for grade B by your exam date? Every practice letter and role play updates a readiness estimate for each subtest, trending toward the 350 line, so preparation stops being guesswork.
HOW IT IS BUILT
- Clinician reviewed scenarios. Case notes and role plays are grounded in real clinical pathways, fictionalised, and reviewed by a clinician before they go live. No scenario is served to candidates unreviewed.
- Marking that is checked, not just claimed. The engine marks in two independent passes against the published OET criteria, must quote your own words as evidence, and is tested against reference letters before any update ships. How the marking is checked documents the method and its limits.
- Honest claims only. Nothing is stated publicly without evidence behind it. Where evidence does not exist yet, the product says so plainly instead of implying it.
- Built for the phones people actually study on. MedEngly is designed mobile first for budget Android devices on variable networks, with drafts that survive a dropped connection.
WHAT WARDPASS IS NOT
- Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, OET or Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment. MedEngly is an independent preparation service, and its feedback is practice feedback, never an official evaluation.
- Not a guarantee. No preparation service can promise an exam grade, and MedEngly never will. What it promises is faster, more specific practice feedback than waiting days for a human correction.
- Not a video course library. MedEngly is a practice tool: you write, you speak, you get marked, and you see whether you are ready.
