MedEngly vs E2 Language for OET preparation: how they compare

E2 Language is one of the best known names in OET preparation, built around live classes and teacher-marked writing assessments. MedEngly takes a different approach: instant AI marking of both Writing and Speaking, sold as one-off packs rather than a course. Neither is a better test taker than the other; they suit different ways of preparing, and this comparison sets out the published facts so you can choose on that basis rather than marketing copy.

E2 Language for doctors lists four tiers at e2language.com, checked 12 October 2026: Express+ at USD 130.90 for 90 days' access, Bronze at USD 207.90 for 180 days, Silver at USD 295.90 for 270 days, and Gold at USD 416.90 for 365 days, displayed including Australian GST. E2 states that its assessments come with teacher-graded feedback on both Speaking and Writing, returned within 48 hours; the package table lists teacher-marked Writing assessments from one on Bronze up to three on Gold, and none on Express+.

Where E2 Language wins
E2's genuine strengths are structure and human judgement. It offers live classes rather than self-directed practice alone, states that its practice materials are designed by ex-examiners, and has teachers grade your Writing and Speaking, which brings a kind of judgement an automated tool does not have. Its Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers carry a published OET Score Guarantee (E2 states the Express tiers carry none), a form of reassurance MedEngly does not offer. MedEngly's refund position is different: because marking is instant, the standard UK 14 day cooling off right for digital content is waived once marking begins, and in its place first time buyers get a 7 day goodwill refund, provided fewer than 5 marked attempts have been used since purchase.
