MedEngly vs E2 Language for OET preparation: how they compare

E2 Language is one of the best known names in OET preparation, built around live classes and teacher-marked writing assessments. MedEngly takes a different approach: instant AI marking of both Writing and Speaking, sold as one-off packs rather than a course. Neither is a better test taker than the other; they suit different ways of preparing, and this comparison sets out the published facts so you can choose on that basis rather than marketing copy.

E2 Language's packages, as published
E2 Language for doctors lists four tiers at e2language.com, checked 2 September 2026: Express+ at USD 130.90 for 90 days' access, Bronze at USD 207.90 for 180 days, Silver at USD 295.90 for 270 days, and Gold at USD 416.90 for 365 days. Each tier includes a set number of marked writing assessments with teacher feedback, from one up to three depending on the package, with a published 48 hour turnaround.

Where E2 Language wins
E2's genuine strengths are scale and structure. It states it has taught over two million test takers, offers live classes rather than self-directed practice alone, and describes its teachers as ex-examiners or having years of experience, which brings a kind of judgement an automated tool does not have. Paid tiers carry a published OET Score Guarantee, a form of reassurance MedEngly does not offer. MedEngly's refund position is different: because marking is instant, the standard UK 14 day cooling off right for digital content is waived once marking begins, and in its place first time buyers get a 7 day goodwill refund, provided fewer than 5 marked attempts have been used since purchase.
